Pornografiekonsum bei Jugendlichen

Übersicht:

Infolge des leichten Zugangs zu Pornografie und anderen sexuell expliziten Materialien im Internet ist die Diskussion über deren Wirkungen besonders auf Minderjährige neu entbrannt. Nach einem kurzen Überblick über die verschiedenen Erklärungsmodelle zur Wirkung von Pornografie werden die dazu v. a. in den letzten zehn Jahren publizierten empirischen Studien (quantitative Querschnitts- und Längsschnittstudien) bzgl. Methodik und Ergebnissen dargestellt. Stärkerer Pornografiekonsum korreliert mit sexuell freizügigeren Einstellungen und Verhaltensweisen, aber auch mit geringerer Lebens- und sexueller Zufriedenheit, mit bestimmten Persönlichkeits- und Verhaltensmerkmalen (sensation-seeking, problematischem Alkoholkonsum) und v. a. bei Konsum von paraphiler und Gewalt-Pornografie mit einer erhöhten Neigung zu sexueller Aggression. Diese negativen ‚Effekte‘ fanden sich vorwiegend bei männlichen Intensivkonsumenten. Korrelative Studiendesigns erlauben zwar keine Aussagen über kausale Zusammenhänge, doch legen die Ergebnisse der Längsschnittstudien nahe, dass Pornografie individuelle sexuelle Skripte und Verhaltensweisen beeinflussen kann, wobei von reziproken Wechselwirkungen zwischen Pornografiekonsum und bestimmten Zielvariablen (sensation-seeking, sexuelle Permissivität, sexuelle Aggressionsbereitschaft) auszugehen ist.

1 In der empirischen Wirkungsforschung wurden bisher mögliche positive Einflüsse von Pornografie – wie Entspannung, sexuelle Lust, Erweiterung der sexuellen Fantasien und Praktiken, Toleranz gegenüber sexuellen Minderheiten – kaum untersucht, gleiches gilt für die Nutzung des Internet aus sexuellen Motiven heraus (Döring 2008; Hill et al. 2007; Hill 2011). Dies hat möglicherweise mit ethischen Grundpositionen der Forscher zu tun bzw. mit deren professioneller Herkunft und Perspektive. Vor allem bei Studien von klinisch oder kriminologisch-forensisch tätigen Forschern liegt der Fokus auf möglichen problematischen Folgen und Risiken des Pornografiekonsums.

2 Wenngleich es sich bei den beiden folgenden Untersuchungen aus Kroatien nicht um prospektive Längsschnittstudien im engeren Sinn handelt, sondern um retrospektive Längsschnittanalysen über Zusammenhänge zwischen rückblickend erhobenem Pornografiekonsum im Jugendalter mit aktuellen Merkmalen im jungen Erwachsenenalter, sollen diese Studien hier erörtert werden.
